Biosketch and vision

I recieved a PhD in neuroscience from the University of Copenhagen under supervision of Prof. Bente Pakkenberg, PhD Susana Aznar, and PhD Jörg Tost. My PhD had a strong focus on bioinformatic investigations of molecular mechanisms underlying neurodegenerative disorders of the brain. Following my PhD, I did a postdoc with Assoc. Prof. Konstantin Khodosevich at the Biotech Research and Innovation Centre at the University of Copenhagen. Here, I acquired extended knowledge on single-cell RNA-seq bioinformatic methods which remains my current area of interest.

Currently, I am involved in two projects: One regards deconvolution of bulk RNA-seq data from fatty tissues and liver biopsies in order to identify patient archetypes and map molecular mechanisms to disease trajectories. The second project concerns analyses of single-nucleus multiome data from fatty tissues and the liver.
